Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the My Wedding Trivia platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our No Refunds Policy, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

My Wedding Trivia is an interactive platform that allows hosts to create and manage live trivia and bingo experiences, and allows players to participate in those experiences via a web browser. The Service is provided free of charge.

User Accounts

• Hosts must create an account to use the platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Players join games without creating accounts by entering a join code and display name.
• You agree to provide accurate information and are responsible for all activity under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Use the Service to facilitate illegal gambling or unlawful real-money wagering
• Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes on third-party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Impersonate another person or entity

Content & Uploads

Hosts retain ownership of content they upload (questions, images, branding assets). By uploading content, you grant My Wedding Trivia a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Service.

You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

Info Capture & Data Processing

When a host enables info capture, players who provide their information consent to have that data collected and processed. This may include:

• Receiving promotional emails or communications from the host
• Having their information shared with the host for marketing purposes

Players may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us.

Host Responsibilities as Data Controllers

When hosts collect personal data from players through info capture or game participation, they act as independent data controllers under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR). Hosts are responsible for:

• Having a lawful basis for collecting and processing player data
• Informing players about how their data will be used
• Complying with data subject access requests from their players
• Ensuring any third parties they share data with are GDPR-compliant
• Deleting player data when it is no longer needed

My Wedding Trivia acts as a data processor on behalf of hosts for info capture data. We process this data only as instructed by the host and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Cookies & Analytics

We use analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) to improve the Service. These are loaded only after you provide consent via our cookie banner. You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Wedding Trivia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Prop Bets, Honeymoon Funds & Informal Wagers

My Wedding Trivia features (such as "Prop Bets") are provided strictly for entertainment and interactive engagement purposes. The platform utilizes virtual "play" chips to track game outcomes. My Wedding Trivia does not operate as a sportsbook, casino, or betting exchange, and does not process, hold in escrow, or distribute real-money wager payouts based on the outcome of an event.

For events using our Honeymoon Fund Feature, any monetary payments processed by My Wedding Trivia on behalf of a host via third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe) are exclusively classified and collected as voluntary personal gifts toward the couple's Honeymoon Fund. We provide software to digitally collect these gifts, deduct our operational software platform fee, and disburse the remaining net balance directly to the host's designated recipient account. Our involvement and responsibility formally conclude upon this disbursement.

Any informal wagers, side-bets, or arrangements made between hosts and guests—including a host choosing to independently reward a trivia winner out of their personal funds or Honeymoon pool after the event—are entirely private, off-platform agreements. My Wedding Trivia, its creators, and its affiliates assume absolutely no liability or responsibility for the legality, fulfillment, or dispute resolution of any such unofficial prizes.

Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. If you are located in the EEA or UK, nothing in these terms affects your rights under the GDPR or other mandatory local consumer protection laws.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we may provide notice through the platform.
